Jamba Juice Flavor - Butter Finger

So this week I forgot to pick a flavor to try so I just went up to the counter and told them that I would take any one of their "secret flavors" and the girl asked me if Butterfinger would be alright.  Well just so you know it wasn't alright.  It was disgusting.  It didn't even taste like Butterfinger.  It didn't even taste like it was trying to taste like Butterfinger.  It tasted like it was trying so very hard to be Reeses, but it tasted more like freezer burnt chocolate ice cream mixed with water and peanut butter.  It was definitely not pleasant.  I don't recommend it.  After two weeks of fails I had better get a good flavor next week.

Motivation

Image
So we've all seen those posters with a cool/pretty picture of a landscape, an eagle, or a team of skydivers holding hands accompanied by a motivational or inspirational word and a phrase linking the two.  Now while these pictures are fun to look at the the basic message of the poster is good I can't help being demotivated.  I work so hard to do well in school so I can go off to better things and then I see these posters that are obviously a big hit and probably bring in a lot of money and think, You don't even need to go to college to make these.  You could probably drop out of High School and still make these.  What the crap am I doing trying to get into Vet School when making money could be so easy a child could do it?

Jamba Juice Flavor - White Gummi Bear

Weird... Very weird... It's not like it didn't taste good, because it did.  It was just weird.  Maybe I just haven't had Gummi Bears in a long time so I don't really remember, but I didn't taste the Gummi Bear at all.  The very first thing I noticed about the smoothie was the color.  It looked like a giant loogie.  After making such a disgusting observation I had to fight not to vomit as I sucked the drink down, however once I got the thought out of my head I was able to taste the flavor.  The White Gummi isn't as intense as Pink Star or Sour Patch Kid, but it still has a distinct flavor that is somewhat enjoyable.  Nevertheless despite the good flavor the after taste in rather unpleasant.  So along with the giant mucus appearance and the sour milk aftertaste I don't really like the White Gummi, especially when Pink Star is contending.  However if you're daring enough give it a try as it seems to be a favorite to a lot of other Jamba fans.

Untitled...eh, I guess it's a love post or something...

Just some random quotes that seem to kinda fit together I guess... I got this from a very different individual's Youtube video.  Regardless of the person's oddities, I kinda liked some of this list he/she made. "I don't want to be worshipped, I just want to be loved. I don't want to be touched, I want to be held. I don't want you to beg me not to leave I just want you to ask me to stay so I know you care. I don't want to be your number one, I want to be your only one. I don't want to mean a lot to you, I want to mean everything to you." Quotes from Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr: Keenan was staring at her, too intently for comfort. "I don't know why certain people shine for others. I don't know why you and not someone else." He gently pulled her forward and whispered, "But it's you I think of when I wake each morning. It's your face in my dreams." (page 137) He interrupted, "There's nothing for you to be ...

The Darkness

Everything is black.  The dark silence is pierced by a whimper.  A young woman is huddled in the midst of the black with a small circle of light around her.  She had tried to find her way out of the darkness.  Everywhere she crawled the small circle followed her revealing emptiness where the darkness once was.  There was nothing except the darkness, Solus, and the circle that surrounded her.  Solus had given up on finding anything more, now she sat huddled up in the nothingness.  She squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to hide from the dark.  She couldn't help letting out the occasional whimper as the loneliness pressed the air from her lungs.  The emptiness was suffocating.  Solus was utterly alone.

The Climb

Okay I don't care what you think about Miley Cyrus or about Hannah Montana or about any other of her alter egos, it doesn't change the fact that these lyrics relate to everyone.   I can almost see it That dream I'm dreaming but There's a voice inside my head sayin, You'll never reach it, Every step I'm taking, Every move I make feels Lost with no direction My faith is shaking but I Got to keep trying Got to keep my head held high There's always going to be another mountain I'm always going to want to make it move Always going to be an uphill battle, Sometimes you going to have to lose, Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waiting on the other side It's the climb The struggles I'm facing, The chances I'm taking Sometimes they knock me down but No I'm not breaking The pain I'm knowing But these are the moments that I'm going to remember most yeah Just got to keep going And I, I got to be strong Just keep ...

Her Diamonds

Oh what the hell she says I just can't win for losing And she lays back down Man there's so many times I don't know what I’m doin' Like I don't know now By the light of the moon She rubs her eyes Says it's funny how the night Can make you blind I can just imagine And I don't know what I’m supposed to do But if she feels bad then I do too So I let her be And she says oooh I can't take no more Her tears like diamonds on the floor And her diamonds bring me down Cuz I can't help her now She’s down in it She tried her best and now she can't win it's Hard to see them on the ground Her diamonds falling down She sits down and stares into the distance And it takes all night And I know I could break her concentration But it don't feel right By the light of the moon She rubs her eyes [ Rob Thomas Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ] Sits down on the bed and starts to cry And there's something less about her And I don't know what I’m supp...

February Birthstone - Amethyst

Image
Well I was reading about my birthstone because I was bored and I thought it was interesting so I thought I'd share this with you. Enjoy! Birthstone Color: Purple If gazing into the sparkling purple depths of an Amethyst suffuses you with a sense of powerful well being, this is only to be expected. The ancient Greeks believed that this gemstone held many powers, among them protection against intoxication. In fact, the word Amethyst comes from the Greek word "amethystos," meaning sober. In ancient Greece, the gemstone was associated with the god of wine, and it was common practice to serve this beverage from Amethyst goblets in the belief that this would prevent overindulgence. Even today, Amethyst is considered a stabilizing force for those struggling to overcome addictive behaviors. February's purple birthstone has been found among the possessions of royalty throughout the ages. The intense violet hue of Amethyst appealed to early monarchs, perhaps because they ...

Attention Idiots, just a reminder...

So at the City of Orem Scera Park Pools we have an annoucement that we give periodically that reads as follows: Attention patrons. Just a reminder that children under the age of nine must be accompanied by someone fourteen years of age or older both in and out of the water at all times. Thank you and have a nice day. Of course, since people are... well people, the effects of the announcement wear off in about five minutes and little children are running amok and nearly drowning all over the place.  I think it would be wonderful if we had a few more announcements that people could ignore.  Here are a few that I've thought up.  Let me know what you think and if you have more ideas please comment. Attention patrons. Just a reminder that we do not tolerate running on the pool deck.  If you are ever forget our policy on the matter please take time to look down at your feet while you run as you are most likely running over one of our 218 "no running" signs. Thank you and have a...

The Orem Fitness Center - Your Aquatic Retirement Home

Okay okay so the OFC isn't really a retirement home, it's just so overrun with the elderly that sometimes I feel like a caretaker in a retirement home.  Anyway this is my second rant of the day and it's only one o'clock.  That would be a very good indicator of my feelings for this fabulous Monday.  So this morning I woke up at the early hour of four o'clock to get ready for work.  After eating a skimpy breakfast I left for the dreaded recreation center.  I arrived at the soul sucker around 4:45, fifteen minutes early for my shift as any good lifeguard should be.  I strode up to the doors determined to have a good shift regardless of the hour and pulled on the handle.  They were locked...great.  I looked through the window and saw members of the desk staff chatting away and laughing.  Their happiness irked me in a way.  I hovered by the windows hoping they'd see me.  In the end I had to wait fifteen minutes until they opened the doors for the numerous elderly pat...

Honestly?

So once a year the scouts raise money for their campouts by selling a bunch of plate dinners around the ward.  Now these aren't just any plate dinnners, they're special.  They're polynesian plate dinners.  They have rice, really good noodle salad, tasty little shrimp things, and some sort of delicious cabbage/meat substance.  But the crowning glory of these dinners is the polynesian style chicken. This chicken outshines every other part of the meal with its burst of flavor.  Because of the natures of these dinners I have been looking forward to these since the biginning of summer and when it became time to send in your orders of how many dinners you wanted I asked my mom to buy me two so I could take one to work sometime for lunch or dinner.  Well just last Saturday our dinners came.  I got home from work and found them in the fridge.  I snatched one out and after heating it, began to eat.  Polynesian food is so filling!  After eating half I wrote my name on it and returned...
