Inspired

So I have been inspired to blog. I've been feeling rather blah about "blah"-ging lately. My inspiration is my beautiful friend Karissa (link), a letter to my other astounding friend Courtney, a long past conversation with my amazing friend Kendall (link) and the movie (yes I know the book is better, I just haven't read it yet) Tuesdays With Morrie.

We need people. They don't only make life easier, but we truly need them. God did not mean for us to live this life alone. I used to think that I didn't need anyone. I was strong enough that as long as I had Christ that I could make it. What I didn't see was that sometimes I couldn't have Christ directly. I needed Christ through others.

"If you don't have the support and love and caring and concern that you get from a family, you don't have much at all. Love is so supremely important." (Tuesdays With Morrie). Without love from others life is hard. We need people around us who care about us and who can lift us when we are feeling low. We need people who can just provide a outside support system. If we keep all of our sorrows and troubles bottled up inside then we will likely fall prey to Satan and his schemes.

Do not let those you love fall through the cracks. You need them and they need you. Reach out to them and show them that you care. I love you all.

    Oh...that makes more sense. I was confused, "Why is Whit inspired to blog by me? I haven't posted in FOREVER. She's posted like...3 times since my last post." Now I understand what you meant. Ha ha.

A lot on my mind...

When I was younger, I never wanted to be a mom and I only wanted to marry a man that would follow me where my career took me as I tried to prove myself in a man's world. Thought burst

Things I've thought about blogging, but never really got around to making them into full blog posts: 1. Guys, if you're trying to win over a girl with a missionary, it's not wise to insult her, her choice, or her missionary. Not insulting her is a no-brainer, but guys still do it. Don't insult her choice to wait and date, or wait, or whatever the details are. She already feels alone and what she wants is a friend. If you're her friend then you have a much better chance at winning her over. Insulting her missionary is no good either. This is someone she cares about enough to consider waiting two years for. He is her love. If you insult someone she cares about deeply, she won't like you. 2. Stop playing these stupid games! Games and drama just hurt people and cause unnecessary stress.
