Driving
So I've just noticed something. Rather I've just started thinking about something. When I'm driving with people I generally keep the windows up, the sunroof closed, the music turned low, and the climate at a reasonable temperature. However, after I've dropped them off or in some other way become the singular passenger of the car I automatically turn my music volume to the maximum of 40, crank the bass and subwoofer up to 6+, roll down my passenger's and driver's windows, open my sunroof, and turn the climate control down to low. As I drive I belt whatever song is on the radio regardless of my familiarity with it. If I don't know the lyrics I sing back-up or just make something up, but either way it's always loud. I love the freedom and feeling the wind in my hair. However, once I stop to pick up a passenger I turn the music down, turn the bass and subwoofer down to 0, roll up the windows and close the sunroof, and readjust the airflow and temperature. I suddenly don't like being loud and I don't enjoy my hair being tossed about. It's odd how I find some of my practices socially unacceptable yet I don't mind if other drivers notice. That's just what I was thinking.
