I need to vent...
Well right now I'm supposed to be doing things like my homework or my cleaning duties or eating. Basically just things that need to get done, but I really just need to vent. I don't even know if I'm going to publish this post or not but whatever. For the sake of this post we will travel into the past. Twenty eight days ago, while I was dusting my shelf (I was cleaning! I totally learned my lesson about that. I won't make the same mistake twice.) a picture frame toppled from the height and landed on my open laptop that was sitting so peacefully on my desk serenading me with some tunes. I didn't really think anything had happened because I didn't turn fast enough to see it hit my macbook. I quickly retrieved the picture bewildered at what had sent it on it's plunge to the freshly cleaned carpet and relived the glass had not broken. I returned it to it's place and finished dusting. Turning to my computer to change to the next track I was horrified to find a large crack in the bottom corner that webbed slightly up into the main area. Frantic I called apple service and asked if my insurance covered accidental damage and was dismayed to find it didn't. When finding that the repair price would be $750 my heart sank. That was more than half the price I had paid for the computer itself! I decided to live with the cracked screen until the ROTC started giving my money seeing as I was (and still am) too poor otherwise. At first it wasn't too bad. A little annoying and a little embarrassing but I got used to it. However, as the days went on the crack spread and overtook more and more of the screen. It still wasn't bad enough for me to care too much because I knew I would get it fixed eventually. While searching to alternatives for repair I came across missionrepair.com. There I found macbook LCD screen repair services for only $200! Now I only had to wait until I had a long enough break from my studies to send it in. Well it doesn't really end on a happy note, not yet at least. My screen is still horribly cracked and it's even worse now. While settling in to work on Biology homework just under an hour ago I set my laptop down on my bed to go get my Biology book. When dismounting my bed my leg barely bumped the fragile crApple Macbook and when I turned back to it the crack had taken over more than half the screen. Right not I'm using the very top corner to my screen to function. I'll make you an ascii diagram... c is crack damage...
