The Beginning of a New Era - Blogging

Woo!! My very first blog post ever! 

What thrust me so suddenly into blogging:

So I'm just chilling here in my oh so ghetto dorm on my bed and my roommate, Kelsey, asks me what some cool words are. I give her pulchritudinous, picturesque, statuesque, defenestrate, irascible, brouhaha, hypaethral, and a number of rather audibly pleasing words that fall on ears like foreign delicacies. Sadly, she turned them all down determined to find the perfect word.  

After inquiring to what purpose her quest for the perfect word served she replied that she was creating a blog. I thought to myself, "Oh no... She's been infected by them." However it didn't take long for my brain to think through all the joys writing my own blog could bring to me. I could post countless entries spanning over any topic I chose. I could express myself in whatever way tickled my fancy! Quickly, my fingers tapped out the URL for blogspot on my pallid keys.  

My mind flicked through the words I had so generously offered to Kelsey, searching for a blog title to fit my vision. Pulchritudinous, picturesque, and statuesque hardly seemed to fit and gave off an air of haughtiness.  Defenestrate, while a be-awesome (beyond awesome) word, didn't fit what I was aiming for.  Irascible, a word I enjoy using to confuse people, didn't fit my vision either. Brouhaha came quite close to winning the position as my blog title as I enjoy creating uproars, but then my thoughts paused on hypaethral. "Open to the skies".  What a beautiful definition. The word enthralled me. And so the blog Hypaethral was born.

"The hardest thing you will ever do" - Parenting

Parenting.  People say it's one of the hardest jobs in the world and that raising kids is the hardest thing you will ever do.  Why is that?  What makes it so hard? First we need to understand the difference between complicated and hard.  Complicated is something like crochet or knitting. There are technical things involved and a lot of little steps.  There are special skills to learn.  However, once you get past the complications, it is very easy and doesn't take much effort. Something that is hard, doesn't have to be complicated it all.  In fact, it can be incredibly simple. Reclaiming my muchness

This blog post has been stewing in my brain for quite some time lately. Now that doesn't mean that it will blow your mind or have any literary value, but at least it's better than a line or two and a music video. Well... at least I hope it is. I'll try to be as open as possible even if that leads you all to see me as a crazy, however, some things still hurt and still terrify me even though it has been over seven years. For the past six months friends have asked me how I've overcome my weaknesses and found zeal for life.
